A few years ago in one of my advertising classes at OSU, we had to tell everyone what our favorite book was. Before I had my chance, I heard someone from behind a row of computers say “The Perks of Being a Wallflower,” which just so happens to be my favorite book as well. We ended up bonding over not only our favorite book, but our love of design, typography, photography and all other things good advertising students do before they become photographers and graphic designers :)
Chelsie and I became really great friends around the time that she and Stefen started dating. It has been amazing to see the hand God has played in their relationship….growing, stretching and shaping them to become the people God meant them to be for each other. I lived with Chelsie right before I got married, and right after I got married she got engaged! Congratulations Chelsie and Stefen – I know you have a wonderful life ahead of you! I had a wonderful time photography your lovely backyard wedding in Oklahoma…thank you for letting me be a part of your wedding day.

Their wedding was very alternative with a tiny bit of a rock-n-roll feel (see shoes below). This was the most laid back wedding I have ever photographed or been to, and it was truly perfect for them! They did everything their way and the result was a very meaningful, enjoyable day with details that said “Chelsie and Stefen” all over them.

As always, I love these vintage-inspired wedding details!

Such a quiet and serene day….lovely and beautiful.
They chose to do a first sight which gave us tons of time to take some classic & timeless wedding portraits before their ceremony. I love the look of excitement on Stefen’s face!

adorable :)

wedding bells? Stefen totally surprised Chelsie with designing her ring out of her grandmother’s vintage wedding ring. I love the gold rose…so unique, but so timeless.

Even though it was an alternative wedding, they still needed a classic wedding portrait!
gorgeous couple, gorgeous fall leaves and gorgeous light….love, love and love.

Although they didn’t technically have bridesmaids and groomsmen, these two beautiful girls are Chelsie’s best friends and were by her side the whole day!
There were about 20 guests at this small, intimate wedding…each one so important to Chelsie and Stefen. I loved how this woman got so dressed up – I remember my grandmother planning out what she was going to wear to our wedding months before, and I picture her doing the same.
Chelsie and her dad are very, very close – look how proud he his to walk her down the aisle!
A backyard outdoor wedding ceremony at night was definitely a first for me…I love the intimate, vintage feel it gives the wedding photographs

and how many people can say they have a moon in the background of their wedding pictures?

The vows were the focus of the wedding…written themselves….they were so lovely and truly touching.

First kiss as a married couple under the moonlight? You’re on a surefire path to a life of romance
Chelsie + Stefen…your day was so uniquely you and so perfect for the both of you. It was an honor to photograph your wedding day and to be there with you for one of the most important days of your life. I hope you enjoyed your honeymoon in Las Vegas….Thanksgiving at the Bellagio is definitely and once in a lifetime event!

Madison - Amazing as usual AD! They turned out so great. Everytime you post pics I always want prints made of them. You are so talented. Love and miss you everyday :)
Alejandra Gonzalez - You rocked these! The nighttime shots look very intimate. My favorite is the last one, I love the colors and the expressions!
Kandy C - I saw the backyard wedding pictures. I’m helping a young lady who is looking for a location for a rustic wedding in Tulsa or Broken Arrow.
I wondered if you had any ideas.
Thanks so much
