Ellen and Tom met while Ellen was studying abroad at Keele University in England. Considering the impracticalities of an across the pond relationship, they decided not to officially pursue a relationship. However, as soon as Ellen came back home, their connection to each other was undeniable. They’ve been together ever since her returning home to Tulsa and will be making things officially official at their outdoor Post Oak Lodge ceremony in Tulsa, Oklahoma this September right before Ellen moves to Europe to start their new life together!
Ellen has a special place in my heart…not only was she the first friend I made at Oklahoma State University, but she is also the one who introduced me to my husband! After throwing ideas back and forth for awhile, we finally decided on Cedar Hill State Park as their engagement session location. It was perfect for them as they love nature and all things rustic, not to mention this location is full of variety and tons of abundant light which always makes photos look amazing. Get ready for some serious eye candy:

We’ll start with a favorite…this tree was incredible!

This little dirt road was bursting with natural light, making it the perfect place for some classic portraits.

When Tom and Ellen drove down for their session, they brought the Oklahoma wind with them :)

Ellen…you’re simply gorgeous.

Don’t you love this lace shirt Ellen brought to throw on over her black dress? It made for a completely different look! The vintage, Anthropologie vibe suits you so well Ellen.

Tom and Ellen are one of those couples where it’s so clear that each one makes the other person better. It’s so sweet to see them together, I’m so excited for their wedding!

Ellen and Tom had several ideas for their engagement photos, and this was one of them! Super cute, plus such a sweet one for their moms. Bringing props that make your photos more personal is always a great idea.
